Following guidance from the Chief Dental Officer and the British Dental Association we have decided, regretfully, that, as of today (22/03/2020), until further notice we can no longer offer any "routine" appointments to anyone and that we can only see patients for emergency treatmentand the practice is effectively closed. We take this action to protect you (our patients) and the staff of the practice from the risk of infection from Covid-19.This is because anybody could be an asymptomatic carrier and our "normal" cross infection protocols are no 100% guarantee of protection. Dental treatment creates significant aerosol and the virus could be carried in this.
Therefore any patients with appointments for routine check ups or for non-emergency treatment will be contacted to cancel those appointments. We will be contacting you on a rolling basis, so be patient. You will hear from us. You may also receive a SMS message or a email about this. When we get guidance to say we can go back to normal we will contact you to rearrange the cancelled appointments.
If you need to contact the us we respectfully ask you not to attend the practice, but rather phone us (01603 871771) or email (email@example.com) and we will be able to help you. You may get through to our answerphone, which will give you the number to contact. If you have symptoms of Covid-19 and you have a dental emergency, we repectfully ask that you do not contact the practice. You should contact NHS 111 and they will help you when you get through.
We apologise for the inconvenience and hope that things will return to normal sooner than later.
Many thanks in advance for your patience in this matter.
We wish you all well in these strange times and look forward to seeing you all again as soon as we can.
Keep safe and smiling!
Regards from Richard, Emma, Dawn, Kim and Colette.
